A Photographic Tribute: The Civil War to the War in Iraq
HISTORIC AND PICTORIAL CONTENT
The exhibition is a tribute to the American soldier; the GIs,
the army, the Marines, those who fight wherever and whenever there is a
call to duty. It depicts the lives of the every day soldier, the infantrymen,
which includes African-Americans, Native Americans and women, on and off
the battlefield. The photographs tell their story of courage, heroism, friendship,
family and sacrifice.
The exhibition includes 116 photographs and 9 history text panels, covering the Civil War, Spanish American War, Boxer Rebellion, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq. Photo captions accompany each photograph and there is a large titled entry panel.
